The island: your gallery on La Croisette
artsunami island is a 2D pixel-art island in a Miami Beach style, full screen at /island. Every member has a gallery on La Croisette, the promenade along the beach, with as many floors as they like and the works they choose on the walls.
Getting around
Open it from the menu's Island tile, from Their gallery on a person card, or from a profile. Three zoom levels: Gallery (your own gallery in the centre), District and Island. Drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, arrow keys too. The island goes on forever to the left and right: the sea with surfers and boats at the front, the beach with umbrellas, bars and a concert, La Croisette and its road, the galleries, then the city with its 100 public buildings and the mountains. Tap a building or a person: residents talk, public buildings say what they are.
Your plot
Every member gets a plot on La Croisette the first time they sign in, right next to the previous member's, alternating to the right and left of the centre. Accounts created before the island got theirs in order of sign-up. City Hall, the domed building in the middle of the city, keeps the register: how many members and galleries, the tallest one, a search, and Manage for your own.
Inside a gallery
Tap a gallery, then Enter the gallery: a floor opens full screen with up to four works on the back wall, two on each side of the lift. Take the lift with its button or with the floor plan at the top right: your chibi walks in, the doors close, and it comes out on the other floor. Tap a work to open it.
Arranging yours
In your own gallery, Edit gallery lets you choose the works of each floor (anything you created or collected), name the floor, Generate a new interior or pick its wall, floor, pattern, light and furniture, add or remove floors (up to 200), and set the facade colours and a neon sign. The building changes shape as it grows: villa, Deco block, tower, then skyscraper. Save the gallery to publish it.
Friends, invitations and gifts
A friend is someone you follow who follows you back. Invite friends sends your gallery as a card in a private message, or to one of your groups. Between friends, the person card and the private conversation also offer Send a gift (one of your NFTs, or some of an artsunami coin you hold, sent from your wallet) and My latest work to show them what you just made.
Your chibi
Your profile picture is a generative pixel-art chibi, and it is also you on the island. The first time you sign in (or Edit profile, Choose my PFP) pick a gender (man, woman, LGBTQ+) and a style (artist, musician, alien, mutant, monster, robot, animal, zombie, wizard, astronaut, skater, punk) and Randomize the rest. Use as my PFP is free. Minting it is optional: it becomes an NFT on Base and only then is its rarity revealed - Common 50%, Uncommon 25%, Rare 15%, Epic 8%, Legendary 2%. You can show an uploaded picture instead and keep the chibi.
Nami lives at the top of the Help center. It knows every topic in this center and can walk you through your specific collection, wallet or transaction.
