Groups: talk digital art, share your work
Groups are public rooms about digital art: artists and crypto artists, NFT and PFP collections, the news, and digital art festivals around the world. Join one in a tap, chat with its members and share your works and posts into it.
Finding a group
Groups is a tab of the bottom bar (/groups). Your groups come first, then the ones recommended for you - each says why: because of what you make (coded art, digital art, real-world pieces, collections) or how many people you know are in it - then all groups, filterable by category (Artists, Crypto art, PFP collections, NFT & collecting, News, Festivals, Making) and searchable. artsunami runs 100 groups; anyone signed in can create one with + Group and becomes its admin.
Joining and chatting
Anyone can read a group; members write. Join from its card or its page, then write in the chat, or tap + to share: a collection you created, a piece you collected or have for sale (on every network), an artist's profile (it shows with a Follow button), a post, an article or a private preview. A shared post appears as a card with its picture, text, likes and comments. Type @handle to name someone: it becomes a link to their profile.
Who is in the room
Names carry a badge when it matters: Admin for the person who created the group, Creator for anyone who has deployed a collection on artsunami. Tap a name or a face for the person card: follow them, see how you are connected (they collect your work, you collect theirs, they follow you, the groups you share) and send them a private message. The member count at the top opens the members list, with a Creators filter.
Private messages
Message buttons are on every profile, in a group's person card and members list, and beside each collector of a collection: they open the conversation in Messages (created the first time). A private conversation shows who the person is to you at the top - the same connection chips - with dates and times, an unread dot in the list, and the same + to share a work, a profile or a post.
Groups and private messages together
Your groups are also in Messages, beside your private conversations, with the last message and an unread count. The chips at the top switch between All, Direct (private) and Groups. The menu has a My groups button that opens /groups.
Fan rooms
Groups about an artist, a collection or a festival are fan and discussion rooms: they are not affiliated with who or what they are about, and their covers are generated from the group's name rather than borrowed artwork.
Nami lives at the top of the Help center. It knows every topic in this center and can walk you through your specific collection, wallet or transaction.
